Sable Radio presents RESOUND

Leeds-based Sable Radio have announced an exciting new programme to help four young Black people pursue careers in radio and creative industries.

RESOUND will be geared towards radio broadcasting and sound engineering, but also looking at other aspects of the music industry. Successful applicants will be paid £1500 to work at the Sable studios over three months, assisting on different aspects of existing Sable projects. They will also benefit from four one-to-one workshops with mentors already in the industry, workshops, talks and masterclasses focusing on specific industries and areas such as talent management, audio production and brand partnerships.

Perhaps the most exciting prospect of all is that each participant will receive a £1000 commission to design and produce their own project for the station. It’s a tangible opportunity to see fresh ideas from new talent get realised with a workable budget – just the kind of positive action we like to see taking place within the industry.

You can find more information about the programme over at Sable Radio – the application deadline is Monday April 5, and there will be opportunities to ask questions and get more information ahead of time.
